1. Deep Woods Side By Side Chardonnay 2014 – $12 at Dan M’s. This label has long offered great value for money but this wine raises it to new heights. It’s a great big round mouthful of melon with a hint of butter but it’s not huge (13%). A crowd pleaser and a terrific bargain. 92 Points.
2. Borsao Garnacha 2014 – $11.40 at Dan M’s. Crowd pleaser from Spain, rich, vibrant and satisfying in that soft seductive way of good Grenache reds. The price is hard to believe. 91 points.
3. Angove Nine Vines Grenache Shiraz Rosé 2015 – $11 at Dan M’s. Draws a perfect line between raspberries-and-cream appeal and a crisp, dry finish. Fresh and lively summer drinking and outstanding Value. 91 points.
